The Southbridge Transportation Action Plan (STAP) found truck volumes were the biggest transportation concern of Southbridge residents. The Southbridge Truck Bypass Study (STBS) is addressing this issue by exploring short- and long-term solutions to reduce truck trips in Southbridge and improve Wilmington’s freight efficiency. This project, led by the Wilmington Area Planning Council (WILMAPCO), is a collaboration with the Southbridge Civic Association, the Southbridge Community Development Coalition, the South Wilmington Planning Network, the City of Wilmington, and DelDOT.
